A Commonsense Campaign for the Future of Chautauqua
Braiden is hoping to lead the charge and put forward a campaign not only for a seat on the legislature, but for a chance to take real strides toward community revitalization. In an effort to combat the increasing number of young students leaving Chautauqua County seeking opportunity somewhere, other than the place they grew up, Braiden, is hoping to put forward plans that will encourage people to stay in Chautauqua County and increasing overall sustainability. Additionally, He is hoping to help implement new jobs, and to strengthen the economic growth of our region.
" The vision I see for Chautauqua County is rooted in Community Revitalization. This will include jobs, economic growth, and sustainability for our communities. If we can provide good paying jobs , strong education, adequate healthcare, and sustainability, then we can provide a plethora of opportunity for current and future generations. If we can implement new jobs, economic stability, and clean energy we can give people a reason to stay in Chautauqua County."

Braiden Anthony McElhaney
Braiden is the proud son of a single mother growing up in Westfield, NY. Through his experience he has become a dedicated public servant who loves to serve his community. Braiden has devoted much of his life to public service, as an Eagle Scout, as a school board candidate, as a political volunteer, as the chairman of the Westfield Community Engagement Collaborative, as a Private Academic Tutor, as an Educator in Early Childhood Education, and as a Boy Scout and Cub Scout leader. Braiden graduated from Westfield Academy and Central School in 2020 and Jamestown Community College in 2021. He is Currently an Online Student at Grand Canyon University Studying Justice Studies and Advocacy with a track to go to Law School in 2024. Braiden has proven his experience and dedication through his work in public service. He is exactly what we need!
